About This Cause

Nutritious proteins, resilient livelihoods, empowered communities. To tackle malnutrition and reduce dependence on livestock, Vegan Hub Africa promotes soy chunks and other plant-based protein sources in partnership with Sossi. Alongside this, we work with the Ethical Transformational Initiative to support women and youth in transitioning to climate-resilient, plant-based livelihoods. Through training and community partnerships, this program helps smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs embrace: - Agroecology: restoring degraded land, improving soil health and increasing yields naturally. - Value Addition: turning raw produce into marketable, higher-value products such as soy-based foods. - Innovative Solutions: blending technology with Indigenous knowledge for efficient, sustainable farming. This initiative strengthens Kenya’s food systems, creates income opportunities and helps communities adapt to climate change — while sparing animals from exploitation and promoting a healthier, plant-forward future.
